Comparing Vehicle Navigation Systems For Your Ford F150
Finding your way through complex city streets and freeways has never been easier. Before you take your next trip to an unfamiliar location or try discovering new routes to shorten your trip you should forget the maps and instead consider the GPS navigation system.
The first thing you will find is that there are a lot of choices out there. How do you know what to look for through the maze of models and price ranges?
The items that are of concern should be:
* map coverage accuracy 38; detail * Quality 38; speed of route calculations * map storage capacity * ease of use and installation
Most navigation systems sold in the United States include maps for at least the 48 contiguous states. Others also include Canada Alaska Hawaii Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Make sure maps are included for areas you are likely to drive to.
Make sure the navigation system has a large and clear screen so that you can easily read the maps.
Focus on a global positioning system that is easy to use the ones that would not require you hours to learn how to operate. A good device should make navigation easy for you.
With several different GPS navigation devices on the market focus on the ones that have available software that could be installed easily on your navigation system. This software should contain detailed road mapping and streets as well as landmarks such as restaurants hotels and gasoline stations.
Ideally a GPS navigation system should come with a voiceenabled system that communicates the right direction to the driver without requiring the driver to take his/her eyes from the road.
You should also consider the factor of the memory capacity of the GPS. If you want better and larger storage capacity which lets you install all the maps you need then you should opt to have a GPS with large memory capacity.
Maps used by navigation systems are usually at least a year or two out of date. If you travel on roads with recent changes you should look to see if the changes are included in the navigation system’s maps.
A few things to check:
* new freeway exits * roads for new housing developments * roads closed to reduce through traffic
Route quality can be difficult to compare but it’s one of the more important features in everyday use. Poor quality routes include unnecessary turns and detours or can take you on roads you want to avoid. Better systems allow you to choose the type of route you want.
Calculation speed is especially important in situations where you’ve missed a turn. Slower systems may not be able to recalculate your route in time to catch the next turn and get you back on track. Better systems take only a second or so to recalculate. Slower systems can take 10 8211; 20 seconds or more to figure out a new path. In some situations you may pass a turn it was planning to take before it finishes recalculating the route.
Many newer navigation systems come preloaded with a full set of maps. Frequent travelers who visit a lot of different cities should get a system with enough capacity to load a full set of maps. People who usually stay in a particular region will probably be satisfied with 100MB 8211; 200MB for map storage.
Other features can add up to make a system a lot easier to use: * spoken directions guide you through turns and let you keep your eyes on the road * choose a screen size that’s easy to read but not too large for the vehicles you’re planning to use it in * a touch screen or keyboard makes it easier to enter destination addresses * simple menus save time and frustration * color screens make it easier to view map details
A lot of new users focus attention on accuracy values stated by the manufacturer. In practice you’ll probably find that GPS position accuracy is adequate with any newer GPS model. What usually counts more is how quickly the system processes position and map data to keep your navigation instructions uptodate. Extra accuracy doesn’t do much good if the system is too slow to make use of it.

Classic Cars In Qatar
The more I research about cars in Qatar which got initiated with the three am phone call I mentioned in my earlier article the more it amazes me how much the interest in classic and custom cars has escalated in Qatar and the neighboring countries. The research has lead me to believing that the trend starts in Dubai then soon later moves to surrounding countries especially Qatar.
Certainly the economic situation is currently in a booming mode and that has a positive reflection on the money being injected into the car market. The demand has lead to establishing a car show that is held in Dubai every other year Middle East International Motor Show. The year 2005 saw the show as the largest international automotive event in the Middle East. The show occupies 11 exhibition halls at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The question that came to my mind was how much influence did the show have on the increased demand? The show attendees were from every GCC state royal family members top ranking government officials VIPs were amongst the many visitors drawn to the show. Having lived in the GCC region I have experienced the fact that new trends tend to find it easy to dominate the market or at least attracting attention at a very rapid speed. To bring the article facts together Qatar and Dubai are currently witnessing the highest per capita incomes in the world. This allows for the citizen that has an income slightly above average simply for prestigious reasons to follow a trend or a fashion that is done by VIPS simply for
The research journey has not stopped rather the more research I make the more I am interested to learn about the differences in tastes and markets. I will dedicate an article for the amazing finding in the market differences. To get uptodate research results visit the section I dedicated to Qatar classic cars

Classic Cars Become Focus Of Edmunds.coms 40th Year
Forty years is a long time. Many have changed. Many have started out their own businesses and many other businesses have closed or run out of funds to run it. However there are still others that remain strong and remain at the top. One of these is Edmunds.com one of the most respected sources of information on used cars new vehicles and automotive information.
Edmunds.com is celebrating their fortieth year in the business and as part of the whole deal they are out to make reviews on the vehicles and cars that took great significance during their forty years in the business. For Karl Brauer “The automotive industry and its products are dramatically different than they were when our company was founded in 1966. This milestone gives us a chance to reflect on the highlights of days gone by.”
Classic cars enthusiasts would surely be loving this. Primarily this is because when cars get out of style and when the cars are no longer in production auto companies start to stop producing stuff for such models. Good thing there are still good sources of information and outdated parts and accessories like Oldsmobile restoration parts in the market. Companies like this make sure that old and classic vehicles are not entirely forgotten and these cars could still be alive and kicking.
There are many definitions as per what a classic car should be. However one of the main things that make a car a classic is that it is oneofakind and is not so common anymore. Looking back and reading on classic cars is just like reliving the days when these cars were still roaming the streets and roads. It also gives a chance for the new generation to get to know the kind of cars and vehicles that used to own the highways in cities and countries.
